Nick Ventura used to wear a police badge. Now he makes a living as a private investigator—and tries not to think too hard about the rest of his life. When a panicked call pulls him out of bed, a case he thought had gone cold suddenly turns dangerous. Margit Lakatos, the woman he was hired to find, has returned to her husband's villa. She isn't alone, and the people around her have plans that could leave Nick taking the fall for murder.
As the night unfolds, lies, drugs and old debts close in. Nick will need every ounce of nerve—and every scrap of his trademark sarcasm—to make it to dawn.
Set in an unnamed Italian city, All in One Night is a fast, darkly comic hard-boiled crime story featuring a flawed detective, sharp dialogue and a distinctly Mediterranean noir atmosphere.
English-language edition of the Italian story Tutto in una notte.
