After more than 10 years, I am publishing a new novel. Throughout all these years, in which my profession has fully engaged me, I have read extensively, created characters, and written diverse stories, many of which are based on real events. My approach to writing has evolved: whereas I was once fascinated by life lived through violence and mystery, today I write with greater attention to the—shall we say—more human side of existence. Life examined under the magnifying lens of our individual journeys, our experiences, and our personal histories. Stories whose protagonists could be any one of us, for every circumstance, every narrated event, belongs to our shared humanity. My philosophical reading and interests are continuously present throughout these most recent writings.
